The AP, Sassyqarla entertainment news, and other media outlets report that the body of Marilyn Chambers, whose real name is Marilyn Ann Taylor, was found at her home Sunday evening. Sassyqarla reports that no foul play is expected, but an autopsy will be performed.
As noted at the archives of www.politics1.com and at Wikipedia.org, Marilyn Ann Taylor ran for Vice President of the United States in 2004, on the “Personal Choice Party” ticket, a quasi libertarian party. And, in 2008, she ran as an alternate Vice Presidential candidate in certain states with the Boston Tea Party, whose ticket was Charles Jay for President and Thomas L. Knapp for Vice President.

Why am I not surprised to hear that a porn star died so early?

I am no expert, but I believe I read that Ms. Chambers was the first performer to become a millionaire as a result of her movies. As I understand it, she secured a portion of the profits from Behind the Green Door, which were substantial, in her contract.

She was one of the pioneers in the modern adult film industry, and actually had at least one (Rabid) mainstream film that she starred in….
I never understood why her work in ” Insatiable ” was not recognized more…it was a much better film than “Behind the Green Door”.
RIP Marilyn

Marilyn stood for vice-president in the states where the BTP didn’t have a “favorite son or daughter” to do so. Tragic news, indeed. Best wishes to her family and friends.

Thanks, Gregg, for the link to Marilyn’s campaign site. I added it to the story.

I liked her. And I don’t care what you think.
Not only sadly missed I wouldn’t kick her out of bed for eating crackers. I loved her. And i’d crawl through a mile of razor blades just to eat the peanuts out of her shit.

Nominated for quote of the day.
That reminds me, how long has it been since we’ve had one of those?

I’ve got awards piling up in my attic. I’ll have to remember to send them out more often. Mr. Peck – you get one!

I caught this in the Chicago Tribune, but they didn’t once mention her political career.

Yea, that was disgusting–but definetly the quote of the day.

It is very sad to learn of the death of this extraordinary woman. Rest in peace.

Rest in peace, Marilyn. Whether she was a porn star or what ever, she died at 56 and it was too soon. The mailman next to me died at 48 of bad heart. What does porn star have to do with it. PTK ? She was much more
