In a social media release the Green Party of Suffolk County announced their co-sponsorship of a fundraiser for the School of the Americas Watch April 3, 2009.
The fundraiser features Father Roy Bourgeois, founder of School of the Americas Watch, and a showing of the film School of the Assassins, an Academy Award nominated film about the taxpayer funded training facility at Fort Benning, GA. The training facility is widely believed to host training in torture, assassination, kidnapping and other illegal tactics. The trainees have included any number of Central and South American military leaders implicated in a wide array of human rights abuses.
The film starts at 7:30 pm at the Cinema Arts Center, 423 Park Avenue, Huntington, NY 11743 (631-423-3456). The ticket price is $9 for Cinema members and $12 for the public.

April 3, 2009 is the date.
