Independent Party Surpasses 45,000 in February 2009

The Independent Party of Oregon saw a surge in voter registration in February of this year, adding more than any other party in the state, including the Republicans and Democrats. Here’s a graph:

    I also think it’s interesting that the Oregon CP has had its best showings in 2008, but lost 3000 registrants in the last 2 years.

    Trent is incorrect. The CP (Constitution Party) had 3187 members 2 years ago and now has 3012 members.

    Maybe Trent meant to refer to the Pacific Green Party, which has lost 3300 members in the past two years.
