Gary,

If my information is incorrect, im GLAD. This committeeman's information was actually told to me pre-nomination. He said that Clymer told him, "If Keyes does not win, I will not put money into the petitioning effort". I've no idea if that is true, or how Clymer spent his money--only that this committeeman was in a position to hear such information and is a reliable source for me.

"Sean,

Its not something I can confirm with anyone of importance. Everyone has been tight lipped about it. One national committeemember from PA told me this and I havent heard since. Id imagine that if it came up Clymer would just say he was “short on money” at the time and couldnt afford to help."

Sorry, but this is an enormous load of crap! It wasn't for lack of money and certainly not any kind of "withholding of money" that our ballot access drive failed in the Keystone state...though lack of money did hurt us other states, particularly in the east.

The reasons we failed here was:

1) The volunteer effort fell far short of what we got 4 years before for a far lesser candidate--Peroutka, mostly because many of the Ron Paul supporters in the party who we were depending on claimed they were "burnt out" from that campaign and had no energy to go out and get petition signatures (and we didn't find out how severe the problem was until very late); 2) We got a bit later start than we wanted due to some errors made on the original petitions; 3) Two principal paid petitioners came in substantially under the estimates they were providing; 4) Our petition oversight obviously, to these factors, turned out to be inadequate.

A lot of money was put into PA, especially in the last week when we recruited Naders petitioners (who were done) to help acquire thousands of signatures in a last ditch effort in Philadelphia that nearly made it.

Mistakes were definitely made, but the idea that money was withheld in PA "by the chairman" is hysterically off the mark. It is probably the one thing that did NOT go wrong.

Please, somebody, tell me: Where does this stuff come from???

"BTW: The fact that the Chair of the party withheld funds and did not help with petitioning efforts in his own state is grounds for a vote of no-confidence."

Trent, is there a place where I can get more details on this? I didn't see a news story on this at IPR, although it is possible I missed it altogether...

Pope Benedict is not anti-protestant. He just believes that they made doctrinal mistakes, just like atheists, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, etc. Just like you believe all those groups have made mistakes. The Holy Father has actively tried to seek Christian unity with Protestants, albeit the ones closer to Catholic traditions such as Episcopalians and Lutherans.

By the way to clarify I don't hate Catholics or anyone else who worships false idols but I am a proud Protestant. I guess I am Anti-Catholic in the same way Caesar Benedict I mean Pope Benedict is anti-Protestant.

I am not active in any party. I never been to a Constitution Party , BTP, or libertarian meeting. I do realize that due to the nature of the political system in the U.S. it would be hard to start new political party. So I am just supporting the candidates I believe are the best regardless of party. I am a compromiser who would be able to support Catholics like Bob Smith or Pat Buchanan. I am not looking forward to the NWO which is misnamed because this idea is as old as the Tower of Babel.

Anti-Catholic, do you believe that the CP should be anti-Catholic as well? If you want to be in a party that is as free of Catholicism as possible, probably better to join the SWP or BTP. Given that Anti-Catholic is actually a part of your name, I know your anti-Catholicism is very important to you.
_________
The day is coming when the Catholic Trotskyist new world order under the Obama Christian Socialist revolution is coming, and there's nothing that some libertarian/constitutionalist economics professors can do to stop it.
God bless the state, God bless the church, and God bless Barack Obama, amen.

Andy,

Also--the fact that Jim Clymer decided not to help the petitioning effort in order to express his displeasure with how the Convention treated Alan Keyes (whom Clymer served as legal advisor to).

Too bad due to the two party duopoly the CP of PA didn’t get the ballot line."

The fact that the Constitution Party of Pennsylvania did not start their ballot access petitioning until sometime in May or June when they could have started in the middle of February had something to do with it as well.
