Fine, but the use of the scary “they” makes it sound hysterical. It reduces the credibility quotient of the statement.

This would not be the first time that deliberate falsehoods have been spammed out to LP members over Rob Powerâ€™s signature

I find no “deliberate falsehoods” in the statement.

Be that as it may, the topic is who drafted the charges, or who is making the charges. Stewart Flood claims credit. I have no reason to disbelieve him. Correct, he could not have gotten it on the agenda if not for Redpath, if we're to believe that they are following the policy manual.

George Donnelly, it’s unfair of you to assume this letter “plays fast and loose with the facts”. For all you know, the Outright Libertarians possess a time machine that lets them go forward in time to assess the forthcoming evidence about the new charges in Flood’s resolution, and then back in time to have them be answered in Phillies’ articles (which in our current branch of the time continuum are not about Flood’s charges at all, but rather are about other supposedly equivalent infractions by others on LNC).

Neither Yahoo web search nor Google web or blog search can track down the source of this alleged quote that anybody on LNC “wishes to ‘re-brand the Libertarian Party [as] the real conservative party now’”.

Besides, contacting all those people is good for those contacted, and those contacting. New friendships, new love affairs, it’s all good.

As one of the so-called “reformers” in the LP who was one of the earliest backers of Wayne Allyn Root, I can say with public importance that this little “situation” has gotten totally out of hand.

I find it a bit embarrassing. This is no different than McCain’s staffers picking Sarah Palin apart after the election.

If there are legitimate reasons to censure or whatever, then let’s focus on that. But this is nothing more than a witch hunt. Or it appears to be. I’m speaking from a media angle now. Sounds like a purge.

While I applaud this effort to get people to contact their reps, the message plays a little fast and loose with the facts.
