LP presidential candidate statement: Angela Keaton

December 18th, 2008 · 5 Comments

My plans are to return to Portugal on the 10th anniversary of my near arrest because I didn’t take Rick Steve’s advice after I read the book and squatting 20 lbs over my body weight by December of 09. My running mate is working on her golf game. I don’t approve.

I hear Milnes is trying to get a female running mate. There is some rumor to that effect, anyway. Sorry if I spilled the beans.

A dadaist-surrealist fusion ticket may be what the LP is best suited for at this juncture.

I don’t care what your plans are.

  • 3 Libertarian Joseph // Dec 18, 2008 at 3:24 pm

You don’t choose your running mate in the LP.

  • 4 ctomp // Dec 18, 2008 at 4:51 pm

Believe it or not, no one cares what you think. See how it works both ways?

    My gf does

I haven’t forgotten about the Catholic Trotskyist Party’s plans to hold a joint fundraiser for Robert Milnes and Tom Knapp sometime in 2010. It’s still in the works, but no updates yet.

Libertarian Joseph: “You don’t choose your running mate in the LP.”

True, but had Barr not “chosen” Root before the vp balloting, Kubby may well have won.

It used to be an LP tradition that you ran for either the presidential or vp nomination. Root changed that tradition.

I think Kubby jumped into the vp race after Root, so that a “name” LP candidate would oppose him.

  • 8 Libertarian Joseph // Dec 18, 2008 at 8:10 pm

Yeah, he endorsed him because Root endorsed him. Ruwart could’ve made herself vp had she done the same. I didn’t want Root as vp. oh well

I fear we are going to have to live with WAR (!) for a while.

My bf calls one of the candidates “Crazy ____” (out of deference to the candidate and the fact I supported said candidate I will not identify them).

Am I the only person annoyed that Root was allowed to address the LNC on his future plans? Should I not hold my breath till they invite other prospective candidates to do the same.

I hate the title of his book. Gods? I’m a damn atheist!!

WAR was on Cavuto again tonight.

He actually did pretty good. I didn’t see all of it, I was flipping channels when I came to it.

    Shalom

@5 That’s not what she told me.

  • 13 Jeremy Young // Dec 19, 2008 at 1:29 am

Why doesn’t Shinghal run for President, since she seems to be more serious about the whole thing?

  • 14 paulie cannoli // Dec 19, 2008 at 1:36 am

Insecurity about her formal education level. Keaton has degrees. It really shouldn’t matter, but that was what she said.

  • 15 paulie cannoli // Dec 19, 2008 at 1:37 am

@5 That’s not what she told me.

    Or the football team.

  • 16 JimDavidson // Dec 19, 2008 at 1:56 am

@15 She didn’t tell me about the football team, though. That b!tch. -grin-

  • 17 JimDavidson // Dec 19, 2008 at 1:57 am

@13 How is Michelle working on her golf game any evidence that she’s more serious about the campaign?

  • 18 Jeremy Young // Dec 19, 2008 at 2:09 am

The statement didn’t come from her. Michelle continuing to post seriously about the campaign on her blog — as well as her having been the author of all previous serious postings about it — is evidence that she’s more serious about the campaign.

    @ 16

  • 20 Robert Milnes // Dec 19, 2008 at 6:12 am

Correct, pc/pc. Milnes is-still-trying to find a female libertarian running mate. The Keaton/Miche ticket is a guaranteed loser, but give me either one & I can make a winner. L.J., I am conducting an Independent run like Nader. Therefore I will have final say on vp. The LP will be asked to endorse my ticket. If they don’t, f. ‘em. C.T., I thought the fundraiser was to be late ’09.

Carla Howell may be the ONLY candidate who could possibly bring this “now nutty party” back to some semblance of sanity.

  • 22 G.E. // Dec 19, 2008 at 9:24 am

I think Kubby jumped into the vp race after Root, so that a “name” LP candidate would oppose him.

    Wow. Not even close.
