If he does that, I'll be happy to have him in our party. He started off on a real bad foot, jumping into the run for the presidential nomination with very little basic understanding of libertarianism (his website initially said he supported gun control, even!) but it's possible that he's just slowly getting educated. It was still silly for him to run for our nomination in 2008, but eh... He is a likeable guy and a great speaker, and I'll be happy if he becomes a productive member of the LP community over the next three years. Root now has three years to do the right thing every day.
