Libertarians would do well to read it and maybe glean some ideas.

When I was chairman of the Riverside County Libertarian Party here in California, I dealt with quite a few racist wackjobs. Interestingly, they all identified with the patriot movement as well. Luckily, the vast majority of people I have dealt with were sane and rational (at least in terms of race!).

Another story: back in 1994, the Libertarian Party of California held it’s state convention in Los Angeles near LAX airport. One of the vendors in attendance was associated with the Liberty Lobby and selling copies of it’s anti-semetic/extreme nationalist newspaper “The Spotlight”, among other piece of literature. Willis Carto, founder of the Liberty Lobby, was in favor of repatriating blacks back to Africa.

Needless to say, some of us were very taken aback at the presence of such a vendor. Some of us spoke with Cullene Lang (convention organizer) and she saw absolutely no problem with this vendor being present. David Nolan called for a suspension of the rules to deal with this matter and eventually, some of us organized and moved the venor and his table to the farthest end of the vending area. I dont see why it has to be right-libertarians. Left-libertarians are just as capable of racism.

But I don’t think there is a white supremacist LP member. Sounds like a contradiction

No im not–Im quite aware of it. Affirmative Action, welfare, etc—these are all programs meant to “help the poor black man that cant help himself.”

That is to say, I do believe that blacks commit more crimes, that asians score higher on standardized testing and are better at maths and sciences, that American-Indians are especially suseptible to alchohol, etc etc.

I hate to disagree. I dont think everyone is “subconsciously” racist. I have nothing against blacks as a collective, jews as a collective, asians as a collective, etc. I believe in individualism and statistics are they regard race. That is to say, I do believe that blacks commit more crimes, that asians score higher on standardized testing and are better at maths and sciences, that American-Indians are especially suseptible to alchohol, etc etc. None of these are racist statements, they’re observations with at least some level of truth. That they’re said by a white male does not make them racist.

Just look at where Cynthia McKinney is headed. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that her father is anti-Semitic.
