On December 13, California released its official vote tally from the November 2008 election. The most suspense concerned the write-in candidates for president. Ron Paul’s slate of presidential elector candidates received 17,006 write-ins. Chuck Baldwin received 3,145. James Harris for the Socialist Workers Party received 49, and Frank Moore (independent who lives in Berkeley, California) received 36. No one else had filed for write-in status for president.
These figures, and the final figures for the ballot-listed candidates, will be incorporated into the national presidential vote chart (above) on Tuesday evening.

Ron Paul now has over 40,000 general election presidential votes that were officially counted. Still behind Keyes, for now.

Baldwin is now over 198k, we are watching out for 200.

I dont think Paul is going to beat Keyes, nor will Baldwin get 200k. These were the last large amounts of votes.

Ohhh! Actually,Baldwin probably will then. I didnt think PA was going to tabulate write-ins. If they do, I suspect Baldwin will reach 200k.
Apparently there were 16,000+ write-ins.

I predict at least 200k. Keep checking US election Atlas since you said you got that one

Tom Hoefling, Alan Keyes’ handler, is talking in the comments section of that Ballot Access article about how Keyes performed better in CA than Baldwin or Paul (who were both write-ins).

Good going, Keyes

Libertarians for Keyes? Man,you should hook up with Dondero.

Libertarian Joseph identifies with Keyes – they’re both 100% insane.

AHAHHAA.
Ross wins quote of the day.

I wish GE were here so we could develop the anarchist/Catholic Trotskyist alliance against the myth of mental illness, which Ross Levin and Trent Hill are perpetuating. I sympathize with both of their political ideals and general personality more than that of Libertarian Joseph, but I feel I must defend my fellow accused troll.

And despite my shared Catholicism, I do not in any way support Alan Keyes, and he will be sentenced to 60 extra years in purgatory.

There were three counties in California that did NOT count the write in votes for either Chuck Baldwin or Ron Paul. Their totals should not be considered complete…
Del Norte County, Mono County and San Benito County.
County officials should do their job and count officially registered and certified write in candidates which both Paul and Baldwin were.

Del Norte, at least, could have a respectable amount of write-in votes.

Hey Ross, your worship of the state is what is INSANE!

The two socialist candidates received fewer votes than they had electors.
Interesting.

I met a dues-paying LP member who voted for Keyes at a libertarian election night party in Culver City.
I wonder if it was Libertarian Joseph?
