Chuck was my second choice, but I really got tired of the LP bashing. I felt alot of people were just using Barr as an excuse to hammer on the LP.

Chuck Baldwin stated on multiple instances that he believe freedom of religion was the most fundamental freedom of America. He had mormons, catholics, and a deist in his staff.

He did, however, support mild protectionism.

I like how he name dropped some minor media celebrities.

I also like how he picked out his accountant. He apparently looked in the Yellow Pages and looked for someone whit his middle name as a first name. Or perhaps his accountant changed his name to honor Root?

The Conscious of a Libertarian= God and Guns? This guy was so much cooler when he was Millionaire Republican.

Gods, NO!

I think his point was that Obama dazzled a lot of people with bullshit, and that he (Wayne) is a good bullshitter as well.

Let’s see though, in terms of vote percentage, the Clark, Paul, and Browne (1996) campaigns all received higher numbers. For the supposed “best LP presidential ticket ever”, this result was underwhelming to say the least, and darn horrendous to be truthful.

Really though, W.A.R. should thank me too . . . I’ve pointed out the utter incompatibility of the LP (and libertarianism in general) and him!

I guess, according to W.A.R., in the minds of Americans, socialism and tax cuts are compatible.

attract millions of votes

I’m not going to point to where I said it, but I said many, many, times, that you could take early poll results for third party candidates, and expect a small fraction of that on election day would turn into votes. Optimism is great, but being delusional is very unbecoming of a potential presidential candidate.

Mark my words. . . in 3 years and 6 months from now, W.A.R. will be nowhere near getting the LP nomination for president. He will be summarily rejected. I can only hope the same is true for Barr.

I, for one am waiting for W.A.R.’s take on the lack of “gamers” (millions of them according to W.A.R., whom he would deliver to the LP vote total!) who didn’t vote for Barr/W.A.R. Will it be because W.A.R. wasn’t on the top of the ticket? If the LP nominates him for president in 2012, THEN he will deliver them?

I also found it interesting that Aaron Starr was the first person he named in his thanks to LP members (I’m insulted that he didn’t thank me!), as it was Starr who essentially put Mary Ruwart’s “Short Answer” in Schreiber’s hands, just 24 to 48 hours before the infamous “Ruwarchy” began the smear of Ms. Ruwart.

I will say this though . . . I agree with W.A.R. on one point . . . it won’t be “your father’s LP” with W.A.R. in an influential position. Too bad, as it won’t be a “libertarian” party at all, father’s or not!
