Sheehan to run again in 2010?

November 5th, 2008 · 4 Comments

According to the San Francisco Chronicle:

In an interview after polls closed, Sheehan didn’t concede defeat but vowed to run again in 2010. She accused the media of ignoring her and criticized Pelosi for not debating her.

“Just avoiding a debate shows a lot of disrespect for my campaign,” she said.

“We tried very hard to get our message out, but it is very hard when the media does not listen to your message.”

According to present figures, Sheehan took second place with 17%, overtaking the Republican candidate by over 13,000 votes. Libertarian Philip Berg rounded out the field with just over 4,000 votes, or about 2%.

Please don’t Cindy! Don’t become the Nader of San Francisco!

If you want to run, run for something else, please…

Sheehan won’t become the Nader of San Francisco unless a huge amount of Republicans move there and she spoils the race for Pelosi, getting a Republican in there.

She could become like Nader by running a bunch of times and making herself look crazy even to those who admire her.

I agree she needs to run for a state or local office , if she does that and wins then I will think she is a viable candidate for national office. After Nader there really is no one to fill the void.
