A case that challenges President-elect Barack Obama’s name on the 2008 election ballot citing questions over his citizenship has been scheduled for a “conference” at the U.S. Supreme Court.

Conferences are private meetings of the justices at which they review cases and decide which ones to accept for formal review. This case is set for a conference Dec. 5, just 10 days before the Electoral College is scheduled to meet to make formal the election of Obama as the nation’s next president.

The Supreme Court’s website listed the date for the case brought by Leo C. Donofrio against Nina Wells, the secretary of state in New Jersey, over not only Obama’s name on the 2008 election ballot but those of two others, Sen. John McCain and Roger Calero.

Seriously, everyone is going on about this and making it their central issue. What’s funny is that this is the only time they label themselves “constitutionalist” (others, not the Constitution party!).

What a jaw-dropper this is. Senator Obama and the DNC are involved in a lawsuit over Obama’s citizenship – a lawsuit that could conceivably determine that Obama is not eligible to run for president – and THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS DEAD SILENT on the entire matter.

As soon as Gov. Palin was chosen as John McCain’s running mate, a army of reporters went to Alaska to dig for dirt on her. Most likely, many of them are still there.

BUT NOT A WORD, NOT A SINGLE SOLITARY WORD about this lawsuit in any of the top newspapers: USA today, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The LA Times, The Denver Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post or the New York Daily News or Post.

    It’s beyond unbelievable!!

I personally don’t think a nuisance lawsuit like Donofrio’s deserves much attention. The Supreme Court agreed and refused the case on December 5. A similar lawsuit, Cort Wrotnowski v. SySusan Bysiewicz, Connecticut Secretary of State, was dismissed on the 12th.

Some of these lawsuits are brought by people repeatedly sanctioned by the courts for bringing frivolous actions. If the newspapers covered every frivolous lawsuit in the country, there would be no room for the real news.

But take cheer, the British tabloids are all over it! http://www.globemagazine.com/.
