* Peter Fosset (R), 2005 Special Election Republican Candidate
* Thor Jacobs (D), 2006 Democratic Primary
* Nathan Noy (R), 2005 Special Election Republican Candidate
* Jim Parker (D), 2006 Democratic Primary
* Ed Rothenberg (R), Currently running for Hamilton County Commissioner
The campaign’s email goes on to say that
Republicans and Democrats throughout OH2 are supporting David Krikorian because he is the candidate most qualified to lead the district through our current economic crisis.
“Restoring confidence in our financial system can only happen if we demand integrity in Washington,” says David Krikorian. “Our congressional leaders have traded campaign contributions with Wall Street in exchange for foolishly eliminating regulations and changing the rules that enabled our current economic crisis. When you elect me this November, you will be sending someone to Washington who has a plan to restore our nation’s economic security (The Krikorian Plan). The Schmidt plan calls to socialize losses with our tax dollars! Republican and Democrats alike are supporting me because they understand we are Americans, above all, and our country is more important than partisan politics. If you feel the same, please vote Krikorian for Congress on November 4th!”
The Krikorian Plan to restore economic security can be found at KrikorianForCongress.com
or call #513-271-2987.
According to the candidate’s webpage, he is “an entrepreneur and devoted family man involved in local civic affairs. He is running as an Independent candidate for Congress because he believes that the people in Ohio’s 2nd district deserve better representation than what they are currently receiving from the widely unpopular Jean Schmidt.”

Krikorkian isn’t the best on foreign policy but money wise he’s much better than pro-bailout Schmidt!

It would be great to have an independent in the House, and it looks like Krikorian might be our best shot.

I dont know if he is polling THAT high.

I mean, a large portion of voters are still independent, and he’s polled as high as 27% (although that wasn’t in the entire district).

Schmidt lost my vote when she voted for that trillion dollar abomination. Krikorian will be getting my vote.

I believe the 27% came from his area of the District. But he has polling double digits in a number of counties.

Ohio, to me, is the most interesting state for Independents this year.
-Krikorian (OH-2) has been polling double digits in a number of counties and high single digits overall. There is no recent poll I dont think. He has raised 200k+ and is running TV ads.
-Robert Owens for Attorney General in Ohio has the endorsements of the CP, LP, Reform Party, Ohio Freedom Alliance, and a few other more minor organizations. He has begun running TV ads. He is polling 12-13%.
-Don Eckhart is an Independent in OH-15. He was endorsed by the Ohio RightToLife and is polling around 11%.
