KSNT.com reports independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader campaigned in Lawrence, Kansas, on Thursday evening, where “hundreds gathered” to hear him speak. Nader said he “believes he and his running mate, Matt Gonzalez, will receive millions of votes on November 4th, despite the fact that some have called him a ‘spoiler’ in previous elections.” The Lawrence Journal World says about 400 were in attendance. The University Daily Kansan said Nader said neither John McCain nor Barack Obama “had proposed a solution to the economic process and both of the candidates had accepted donations from major corporations. ‘These are cowardly, inhibited candidates who are unworthy of the American people,’ he said.”
The New York Daily News had a brief profile of Gonzalez in its Latino section earlier this week, under the headline “Want A Latino For VP? Do The Matt.”
