Tom Lizardo
Chief of Staff

Scheduler
Phone: 202-225-2831Rachel Mills
Press Secretary
Phone: 202-225-2831
At
Ballot Access News, the same commenter advised readers to call 979-285-0231 for more information.
Ron Paul just now gave a speech about re-opening his Lake Jackson office. Call him now at 979-285-0231 and find out the truth yourself!
Jesse Benton is the Ron Paul spokesman who published the article which is causing all
the
commotion.

It doesnt appear that anyone but NotABarrFan (who still says we should all vote for Barr) is questioning this.
2 G.E. // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:36 pm
What this guy is saying is that Ron Paul’s grandson-in-law wrote a fake blog as Ron Paul and thought he could get away with it?
VERY implausible.
3 paulie cannoli // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:38 pm
Normally I would agree, but he does provide phone numbers. I’m in a library, but if anyone else here can get through, we should post the reply.
4 G.E. // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:42 pm
I’m not taking the bait and calling the office. You’d think they could REMOVE the article before now.
What NotABarrFan, alone, is asking us to believe is that Jesse Benton hijacked the C4L Web site and no one else can get the post down.
Not even remotely believable.
5 paulie cannoli // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Why would it be “taking the bait”?
It’s possible, although highly unlikely, that Benton could have exceeded his authority.
Checking out stories is normal practice.
If I was not in a library, I would have called already.
6 Trent Hill // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Nope. Rediculous(TM) assertion.
7 G.E. // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:47 pm
Absolutely ridiculous to even consider that Paul would take calls on the matter but NOT remove the article / post a disclaimer.
8 Ross Levin // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:48 pm
Anyone actually gonna call? I have homework to do.
9 Trent Hill // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:49 pm
No one SHOULD call, its insultingly stupid.
10 Ross Levin // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:50 pm
So we’re just going to report on it, talk about it, and not call it?
11 Fred Church Ortiz // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:50 pm
I think Benton might have stolen RP’s thunder; we were supposed to hear a major announcement tomorrow, it’s possible everyone else was blindsided.
12 Fred Church Ortiz // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:51 pm
I can’t use my work line for personal calls. Settle for a B- and call it, Ross!
13 Trent Hill // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:53 pm
HAHA. I cant call, im also working.
14 paulie cannoli // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:54 pm
OK, where the fuck is Orvetti?
15 G.E. // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:57 pm
NotABarrFan = Bubbu Blanco aka MDBQC aka Jerry S
16 Steven R Linnabary // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Personally, I wouldn’t call the office, either.
It might be a bad time:

I called all the numbers, nothing is open.
18 svf // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:59 pm
The (202) number is just a recording for RP’s congressional office — hours 9am – 6pm Eastern Time.
The (979) number just rings and rings.
Where do I send my consulting bill…?
19 paulie cannoli // Sep 22, 2008 at 8:59 pm
I don’t really care what Bubbu Blanco, or whatever, says. However, I would be interested to know what Tom Lizardo or Rachel Mills says.
20 G.E. // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:00 pm
svf – Send it to paulie.
21 G.E. // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:00 pm
We already know what Ron Paul says. It’s at his Web site. How much more confirmation do you need?
22 paulie cannoli // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:01 pm
svf – Send it to paulie.
Yeah, I haven’t worked since the 5th, so I’m running low on toilet paper.
23 VTV // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:02 pm
Yeah, honestly if there was something wrong with the post I think they would of pulled it or deleted it by now.

Audio or video would clinch it.
25 paulie cannoli // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:05 pm
Yeah, honestly if there was something wrong with the post I think they would of pulled it or deleted it by now.
You are probably correct. But we should still cover all bases.
26 Deran // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:16 pm
Either way; Ron Paul endorsing a theocrat and Truther — not so good.
27 paulie cannoli // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:18 pm
The truther part would be fan.
The theocrat part, not so much.
28 G.E. // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:26 pm
He’s not a theocrat and there’s nothing wrong with being for truth and distrusting government.
Chuck Baldwin puts WAY, WAY too much religion into his politics. Way x 50 at least.
But there’s a difference between that and theocracy.
29 Ross Levin // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:44 pm
There’s a difference between being for truth and believing that 9/11 was an inside job. That’s not necessarily the truth.
30 Trent Hill // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:47 pm
Baldwin has suggested that all questions should be answered and that an investigation should be conducted—because all government investigations are inefficient and/or corrupted. This doesnt neccesarily mean that he believes the government is criminally complicit in the attack or knew beforehand–or any of that.
31 G.E. // Sep 22, 2008 at 9:53 pm
Ross – not necessarily but not necessarily NOT, either.
I’m leaning towards inside job on some level.
32 johnlowell // Sep 22, 2008 at 10:31 pm
I simply can’t believe that I’m watching four or five people that would otherwise seem to care a great deal about the claims being made here go through some thirty-one, count ‘em, 31 posts making excuses about why they personally just can’t make a phone call to confirm them. What squirlishness! If you’re so concerned about the truth of the matter, confirm or disconfirm the claim for God’s sake. Either its true or it isn’t, but I’m getting the very distinct impression that a good bit more than the truth is involved for you folks, pride perhaps?
33 kkassam // Sep 22, 2008 at 10:43 pm
Trent, why no mention yet of the Ron Paul endorsement at the CP site?
Also, what’s your email address? I have a question I’d like to ask you.
34 G.E. // Sep 22, 2008 at 10:45 pm
The endorsement is mentioned at the CP site.
Make the call yourself, johnlowell. You don’t own me.
35 Trent Hill // Sep 22, 2008 at 10:45 pm
johnlowell,
The ones who wont call, wont because we know the truth. The ones doing the urging are busy.
36 Trent Hill // Sep 22, 2008 at 10:46 pm
kkassam,
Email the IPR email address
Contact.IPR@gmail.com
And just say “Hi Trent, contact me at this email address” and ill get back to you in a few.
37 kkassam // Sep 22, 2008 at 10:47 pm
Ok, I see it now – but I still don’t see it on baldwin08.com .
38 paulie cannoli // Sep 22, 2008 at 11:49 pm

Obviously you didn’t actually read those comments.
I was in a library, and several other people here were at work, so could not all.
Eventually, some people did call, but it was after office hours.
With the confirmation in a CP press release, it now seems even less likely that Jerry is right, but I’ll still call the Ron Paul office in the morning to erase any lingering shadow of doubt.
39 kiddleddee // Sep 23, 2008 at 12:24 am
I received a facebook reply from Rachel Mills confirming the post.
40 darolew // Sep 23, 2008 at 12:26 am
I think the endorsement is pretty obviously genuine.
41 paulie cannoli // Sep 23, 2008 at 1:07 am
I received a facebook reply from Rachel Mills confirming the post.
Hadn’t thought of that. Good job, thanks!
42 G.E. // Sep 23, 2008 at 1:09 am
I think this dude should be our first ban for creating fake aliases in order to intentionally spread lies.
43 antiwar // Sep 23, 2008 at 10:48 am
Don’t call Ron’s office congressional office!
It is against the law for his congressional staffers to discuss who he supports for President or any other aspect of his non-congressional business.
The Campaign for Liberty is his official political (campaign) organization. The people who work there are his political staffers. They speak for him regarding political issues. Here is that number: 612-559-6742.
Stop bothering his congressional staff!
44 darolew // Sep 23, 2008 at 10:50 am
^Maybe that should be edited into the article.
45 paulie cannoli // Sep 23, 2008 at 11:01 am
Probably unnecessary at this point. It’s off page one, and any question has long been settled by now.
If any of the other writers here still think it’s important enough, I’ll accept an edit by them.
46 Ross Levin // Sep 23, 2008 at 3:31 pm
Hey, I had homework to do!
Plus, someone called and no one picked up, so we waited until today.
