SWP’s Kennedy campaigns in Seattle

September 27th, 2008 · 1 Comment

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports that Socialist Workers Party vice presidential candidate Alyson Kennedy “is in Seattle this week talking to striking Boeing workers and campaigning in a long-shot race for the White House.” Kennedy told the newspaper, “We’re fighting to win this election. It’s time that the working class is represented in the presidency. For too many years, the working people have been saddled with politicians in president and vice president who represented the interests of the wealthy.”

It’s interesting that so many stories got posted right after I announced that the Catholic Trotskyist Party of America is seeking the endorsement of Catholic socialist politician Daniel Imperato, who will hopefully fund the creation of their website. The party has invited Alison Kennedy to debate with Imperato on the question of religion and socialism, as she has shown herself to come from the most intelligent socialist party, that which came from the great politician James P. Cannon, Peace be upon him.
