For those who can’t make it to the Bob Barr event in reason’s DC HQ tonight, we’ll be experimenting with a live stream online. The stream will go live at http://www.mogulus.com/reason at 8:55 [pm Eastern time] with Bob Barr answering debate questions in real time. Comments will be enabled on the streaming site, so you can participate in the festivities no matter where you are.

I was unable to hear any audio. The same seemed to be true for many folks in the chat.

The Reason video and audio was good from me in Florida.
    Barr’s remarks were also good.

After receiving the Reason web address in late afternoon, I promoted it thru our local online newspapers, Bob Barr Meetup group, and Libertarian Yahoo group.

I was at the Reason event. It was quite entertaining. In my opinion Barr did a very good job with his running commentary and jokes…

… up until the very end where he again blasted Ron Paul and alienated Ron Paul supporters, that is. Please someone take the shovel out of his hand so he stops digging himself deeper into that hole.

    He dissed Ron Paul AGAIN?

This is not accidental. He’s trying to forever ruin the LP brand. And succeeding.

“This is not accidental. He’s trying to forever ruin the LP brand.”

Either that or he’s an idiot. There’s a genuine question: Barr’s campaign — idiocy or conspiracy? Or both?

Barr was of course goaded by the tReason editor who lives only to attack Dr Paul… Barr slammed the CP as theocratic… they had a live video stream on mogulus…

http://www.reason.com/blog/show/129078.html transcript of sorts. allegedly video later

Barr slammed the CP as theocratic

    So he told the truth?

Uh oh, all the Paul lemmings are all upset again. For some reason a Republicrat is untouchable.

Barr has the balls to stand up to anyone. You won’t see him on stage sucking up and that is what we need. You lemmings can follow Paul wherever he tells you to go though.

From my vantagepoint at home, this was also my impression.

The Barr campaign really does need to find a different “spin” for this fiasco.

And I don’t think most Paul supporters were upset with the “theocratic” remark, so much as the continued bashing of Paul (and it really did seem to go on for several minutes).

Too many people seemingly regard Ron Paul as a saviour for Barr and company to be as insulting as say the republicans at one of their debates.

The Barr campaign should keep in mind that MANY, MANY LP’ers were Paul supporters before the conventions.

They should also keep in mind that all these new freedom activists that seem to regard Paul as a sort of Messiah will be offput by continued denigration of the one that led them to the salvation of freedom.

    PEACE
    Steve
