State ballot access is controlled by the state party. The NHLP is the only political party that filed this lawsuit.

Isn’t the state ballot access controlled by the state party, not the LNC? LPNH nominated Phillies, not Barr.

I don’t really care at this point. Both men are statists. This election cycle went from so promising with Ron Paul to completely FUBAR.

Uh, I want to change the headline if it’s wrong. But it doesn’t appear to be wrong.

At first, Richard says the headline is “wrong” because it’s “unlikely” that the suit will get Phillies off the ballot.

THE HEADLINE DOESN’T SAY IT’S LIKELY.

It says that Barr and the LPNH are suing to do it.

Which you now say is right.

So… Your comment #1 was what was wrong; not the headline or the story.

It’s OK if you don’t change the headline. People who are interested in the subject will read all the comments. Cases can’t be entertained in federal courts unless there is a real case or controversy. So the case has to ask for injunctive relief. But if one is subtle, one will notice that the injunctive relief is likely to be denied for “laches”, i.e., filing the case so late.

Your comment is there. I don’t understand why comments don’t always get posted right away, but it just seems that computers have a mind of their own. 98% of the comments get posted automatically. 2% get hung up and I have to do something to get them there.

Hmm.. Looks like I might be barred from posting on BAN? At least my comment on the BAN article hasn’t shown up…

What I attempted to point out is that currently the case is a bit of a waste of time and resources.

BOTH Barr and Phillies are on the ballot in NH, and if nothing is done, BOTH will appear on the NH ballot as Libertarians…

One can speculate as to whether there is a legitimate reason for this case, or if it is merely a vindictive attempt by the LNC / Barr campaign to get George thrown off the ballot…

This is inaccurate. I have the complaint. It is an action to win substitution. The case has been filed so late, it is extremely unlikely to get injunctive relief, so the only effect of the case is to let the NHLP substitute in the future.
