No, but you imply it. And you also imply that someone is a tool of state propaganda if they don’t immediately believe it without question.
Unless there is some evidence that 5000 men are missing, I have to question the veracity of Ms. McKinney’s claims. I’m not saying that she is lying. I am saying that you can’t believe everything you are told, especially something of that nature which should be verifiable to some extent if it were true.
Besides, if the government wanted to rid itself of 5000 black men following Katrina, they’d drown them, not shoot them. After all, no one would question it if it looked as though they were victims of Katrina, so no cover-up would be needed at all.
The story simply doesn’t make sense.

I’m not making a claim as to whether or not McKinney’s allegations are true.
The criminal gang known as the government does not have the right of presumed innocence.
When someone makes a claim, it’s not the job of skeptics to prove them wrong. The burden of proof is on the person making the claim.
I’m all ears for McKinney to provide that proof. But simply stating something as self evident fact and insulting people who don’t immediately buy into it is just unbecoming of a presidential candidate and intellectually lazy.
And from what I see, it seems a bit of a stretch.

You have to apply critical thought, rather than putting an opinion into two ironclad categories.
With what I’ve seen, you seem to say either a person believes:
1.) “the government has done some really nasty things in the past, therefore, I will immediately believe that they’re responsible for ALL nasty things, whether or not there is any evidence that said things have even happened.”
2.) “You’re a total government shill and therefore because you just to apply skepticism instead of just blind belief on a whim.
You seem to refuse to accept a number 3.
3.) “Yes, the government has committed some atrocities, but I have to use reason first instead of jumping the gun. I will see if the evidence backs up these claims before believing them.
It’s like, Ted Bundy was clearly a murderer, but I need more evidence before immediately and blindly believing that he was also say… a cannibal or a child molester.

GE, there’s a difference between reflexively dismissing McKinney’s claims (which I will not do) and saying that making such claims as FACT is unbecoming of a Presidential candidate (which I will gladly do).
It’s sad, too, because except for my views on foreign policy, I’m basically in agreement with the Green Party on just about everything. After Obama is elected, I’m planning to get more involved with third party politics, and I’d really like to be able to join the Green Party — but I can’t support someone like McKinney.

Or, she is trying to tap into the widespread conspiracy(s) that have swept the black community (AIDS, prisons instead of schools, etc. Have you seen the movie “Barber Shop”?) and the rest of America.
Whether they are true or not, I always cringe when a Libertarian is given a microphone and they start talking about 9/11 or secret government gas chambers or huge new secret concentration camps.
That said, I prefer to think she is merely fanning the flames, not really believing.

In the absence of evidence, assume the negative. Lacking (quality) evidence that 9/11 was an inside job, assume it wasn’t. Lacking evidence of god(s), assume there is/are none. Lacking evidence of 5000 black men murdered without a trace, assume it didn’t happen. And so on.
It should be dismissed on the face of it because NO Family and no individual has come forward claiming that any relative of theirs is missing.
5000 dead and no one is missing.
There are thousands of nonsense stories floating around the world and you have to have the intellegence to dismiss them.

FEMA has refused to release to Louisiana information they have about where they “relocated” a couple hundred thousand people. 5 to 10,000 of those people could easily be dead and no one would know the difference. McKinney is probably incorrect in assuming these were prisoners, though. That would actually be easier to track.

The same test should be applied here. Can McKinney supply a single case of a prisoner who has disappeared?
I am not saying her claim is untrue, but a single case of a relative making such a complaint would go a long way to affirming her credibility.
