Party for Socialism and Liberation ’salutes’ McKinney, Sheehan

On its website, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, “itself fighting to obtain ballot status for presidential candidate Gloria La Riva in a number of U.S. states, salutes Cindy Sheehan and Cynthia McKinney for their successful efforts at securing ballot access for their candidacies.” The PSL says McKinney and Sheehan “bring much-needed progressive voices into the electoral discourse. Their ability to gather support for their candidacies indicates that growing sectors of the population are rejecting the two-party framework that has yielded only war and death. Their leadership can advance the development of a politically independent mass movement capable of challenging imperialism.”

    Have a care when the bolsheviks start praising you! They’re probably trying to get some face by allying themselves with more successful Left groups and movements.

    Don’t worry, crazy McKinney has already proudly taken the Worker’s World Party endorsement, a group that praises brutish communist actions from Hungary, 1956, to Tienanmen Square and North Korea today.

    Hahah… The only “Communists” in Tienanmen Square were the PROTESTERS who were protesting the loss of guaranteed government jobs through the Communist Party.

    I see that Silvarticus has fallen for the neocon propaganda that the protesters were for “democracy” as opposed to Communism; whereas in fact, they were protesting capitalist reforms!

    What about the Soviet suppression in Hungary and Czechoslovakia?

    No. But it shows that Communists can be victims of the state, too, just like LaRiva and her crew are.

    For the TV cameras, obviously. And “democracy” is not synonymous with capitalism, but in fact, the opposite. They were protesting for “democracy” (i.e. Communism).

    Your boy Raimondo wrote an article on this some years ago (the Tienanmen protesters).
