"As for this being Libertarian-oriented. I’d say, Libertarian/Constitutionalist-oriented. But we have plenty of Nader/McKinney fans here too."

Trent, I'd call it more of Third Party and Independent oriented. All parties and ideologies are welcome here, even if they will be open to debate from the majority of posters.
Just my take on it.

Nono, not admonishing you for bragging. you have reason to be happy about your political party. But if you have news, email it to us. Dont just post a similar comment in every thread here.

I was merely comparing two recent news postings on party sites from two similar organizations. I view them as similar to my comment above. I apologize if it sounds like bragging, just proud to have found a political home that relates to my personal views. The discussion emails that go around between members I am connected with espouse the same. I realize this is a somewhat pretentious Libertarian-oriented board, but I do like to see coverage every once in awhile of a completely different party.

Smaller parties like the BTP and others really seem to be attracting members. Not that there are many similarities apart from names based on history, but here is the latest news from http://www.modernwhig.org. They seem to be on the same track apart from the fact that the Modern Whigs are not endorsing anyone. Modern Whig Party also redid their website.

10,000 members and counting

We are pleased to announce that we have reached our initial phase goal of 10,000 members, a modest milestone that is well ahead of schedule. Ten state chapters also have been recognized so far. It also should be noted that 6,500 official members are affiliated with the military, to include hundreds of deployed soldiers from all branches of service.

10 AUG 2008
Whigs on campus

Various student chapters are currently being organized. The first of these recognized affiliates is the Modern Whig Party @ UNCG (University of North Carolina - Greensboro). This chapter also can be seen on Facebook.
