As I said, I wont be an apologist for Corsi. He’s undoubtedly playing the field here. He made a fiery non-interventionist speech at the CPNC, and I spoke with him, at length, about non-interventionism. He is definetly militaristic, but is also a committed non-interventionist. He’s clearly shirking his personal beliefs in an attempt to sell books, which I think is pretty horrible and pretty unethical–but it doesnt make him a neocon.

Baldwin’s name was on the front page of the New York Times, was mentioned on Larry King Live 2-3 times, his name is mentioned in the introduction to the currently bestselling book in America, there are 1030 articles on GoogleNews about Corsi and his book and about 1/3rd of them mention Chuck Baldwin.

In Ed McMahon voice: “I did not know that.”

Corsi is an obvious neocon, or at least someone who pretends to be a neocon (i.e. a liar).

Doesn’t change the fact that he is a non-interventionist, just changes the fact that Corsi cant be trusted.

The reduction of the military bit is just inaccurate, as is the withdrawal from Iraq, which is isn’t that different from McCain’s position.

As far as I know, Baldwin still has the right position on Iraq: getting the hell out of there.

It seems odd that Corsi would attack Obama by misinterpreting his position as “withdrawal” and lambasting it; and then endorsing a candidate that actually IS anti-war and pro-withdrawal.

A better question–if I want books,can you get me a discount? lol.

All of these mentions are favorable–and its a GREAT amount of press.

Now — Imagine if Baldwin had rejected the endorsement. That would have been BIG NEWS. As it is, the news is very minimal.

I didn’t say I agreed with Corsi’s reasons. Hell,perhaps those arent his reasonings,and I have misunderstood him–maybe he is really just two-faced and trying to sell books. *shrug* Im not going to defend him, because I dont him that well. But I certainly will try to insert some truth into your otherwise false accusations against the man. He is NOT a neocon, NOT for invading Iran, was NOT a friend to Bush or McCain, and IS non-interventionist.
