    Not nice, G.E. (but hilarious!)

    Not news. :-(

Come on, inD… We have 958 posts here. Indulge me just this once.

As much as I like it, I would have recommended posting it on a more blog oriented thing like LFV, not on a news site.

Come on GE, admit it…you like Milnes a little bit don’t you?

  • 6 Ross Levin // Aug 25, 2008 at 8:44 pm

Give the man a break! (I’m talking about GE)

Milnes – the “Progressive Alliance” strategy ain’t bad. Just don’t get caught up in illusions about yourself. Take a good look in the mirror very often.

And if you want to help someone out, you can try to help John Murphy, a man running for Congress as an independent who is endorsed by the Green, Libertarian, and Reform Parties. His website is http://www.johnmurphyforcongress.org and you can contact him at johnamurphy@comcast.net

  • 8 Peter Orvetti // Aug 25, 2008 at 10:59 pm

    where did this come from?

  • 9 Mike Theodore // Aug 25, 2008 at 11:11 pm

I’ve seen it before with this one other guy. I don’t know where.

  • 10 Sivarticus // Aug 25, 2008 at 11:25 pm

    I LOL’d heartily. Well done.

Ross, many people have told Milnes that the “progressive alliance” idea isn’t all bad.

But telling Milnes “not to get caught up in illusions about yourself” is like telling Hillary Clinton that we should have a woman president, but not her.

IOW, it’s impossible. Hillary is about Hillary. Milnes is about Milnes. They’re both 100% solely about themselves.

The only difference is that Hillary is a player, with significant support from both voters and power brokers. Whereas Milnes is a bad joke, with no support from anyone. Not even Gibby the Cat would run on a ticket with Milnes.

    Not that funny, really.

“As much as I like it, I would have recommended posting it on a more blog oriented thing like LFV, not on a news site.”

You mean IPR is still a news site? I thought this site had just degenerated into just another TPW, albeit skewed to more radical ends. I must have fallen asleep…

  • 13 Ross Levin // Aug 26, 2008 at 10:57 am

    Bitter, spence?

As far as I know, IPR isn’t anyone’s full time job. And as far as I know, we don’t have investigative journalists or different departments or anything like that. We’re doing the best with what we have, and I’d say that it’s pretty damn good.

  • 14 Gene Trosper // Aug 26, 2008 at 4:16 pm

I don’t consider IPW as a “news site”, but rather an outlet for information.

  • 15 Trent Hill // Aug 26, 2008 at 4:33 pm

With over 1500 hits a day, with visitors ranging from Progressives and Socialists to Conservatives and Libertarians–I’d say we’re doing alright. We’ve been commented on by several VERY large blogs (including LewRockwell and CATO’s Hit & Run).

  • 16 Ross Levin // Aug 26, 2008 at 5:42 pm

The Dailykos even linked to us the other day and wrote an article about our story on the LP’s press release regarding Biden.

  • 17 G.E. // Aug 26, 2008 at 7:21 pm

    Someone sent me this, too:

Current IPR Alexa rank: 149,783rd most popular site on the Internet.

Current TPW Alexa rank: 174,927th most popular site on the Internet.

You’re whipping their ass on Sitemeter, too. More visits, and LOTS
more page views (look at the “past 30 days” graphs).

Your numbers haven’t gone hockey-stick yet, but in relation to TPW
you’ve been competitive since the beginning and and you’re moving up.

I’ll post another joke story 958 posts from now. Deal?

Well, that was great for a laugh. :)

  • 19 Spence // Aug 29, 2008 at 2:04 am

    “Bitter, spence?”

Oh sure. That’s your best answer to rationalize all the very bias that you guys decry in the MSM.

Is there another copy of the video, it doesn’t seem to be working.

  • 21 Robert Milnes // Sep 27, 2009 at 10:37 pm
