W.A.R. supports ‘surge’ in Afghanistan

In an interview with the Jewish Exponent, previously covered by IPR here, Libertarian Party vice-presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root characterizes the “surge” in Iraq as a success, and says a similar “surge” should be imposed upon the people of Afghanistan:

Root has said that the success of the surge should be declared a victory, allowing troops to depart as quickly and as safely possible.

Bob Barr fails to make ballot in Maine

Ballot Access News is reporting that Bob Barr actually failed to make the ballot in Maine. The Bob Barr campaign is filing a lawsuit in Maine to have the Secretary of State except late signatures, which is the same strategy being used in West Virginia. Barr’s campaign now has active lawsuits in New Hampshire, Massachussetts, West Virginia, Maine, and Oklahoma.… Read more ...

David Krikorian gets major endorsement

David Krikorian is running as an Independent in Ohio’s 2nd congressional district. Krikorian had previously been identified by IPR as one of the top 10 third-party candidates in the nation. Yesterday, the Armenian National Committee PAC endorsed David Krikorian’s campaign. The Armenian National Committee PAC (or ANC-PAC) is the largest and most influential Armenian-American advocacy organization in the United States.… Read more ...

Robert Owens to appear on television talk show

Robert Owens, who is an Independent candidate for Ohio attorney general and was previously identified here as one of the top 10 third-party candidates in 2008, was on a statewide television show called Capital Square.
