The CP has its best candidate ever--and Baldwin will shatter any of the other candidate's vote totals. If he gets over 200k votes, im right. Im guessing he'll get 400k.

the CP has been around a few years, it's tiny, it has problems, but its going to stick around for a few years more, and try to grow.

I joined the Libertarian party back in 1988 and watched a few campaign seasons since then.

When you are trying to grow, you really like a good presidential candidate, for example, Harry Browne. Not famous, but a great campaigner, and tireless outreacher, who brought in new people, and his presidential campaign helped the LP grow too.

Then that same candidate in 2000...sidetracked by internal LP infighting, that sometimes distracts the public, and harms the party, despite the candidate, himself, being good.

Then sometimes you get 2004 seasons, where a nice guy, like Badnarik is nominated, but not a great campaigner.

It would be great to string together, one winning season after another, because we are small parties....but it doesn't always work out like that.

Anyway, I think you cannot admit it now, but someday when you look back on 2008, you had a weak candidate, in this preacher Baldwin, and you had some disastrous infighting and public distractions.

Meanwhile, after a dry spell, the LP has got its groove back, in an excellent candidate. He's very well spoken, has an incredible team. He started late, only May he got in the race. But, he's picking up the momentum, and should finish ahead of any previous LP candidate, and of course, he will smoke Baldwin, getting many multiples in the vote totals and in fundraising.

"Yes, well, I don’t have any patience with racists, so why would I say otherwise abt Baldwin and the CP?"

You just called Baldwin a "peckawood" and have the audacity to call HIM a racist? You know that isan ethnic slur, right?

"I would suggest Pastor Baldwin learn Spanish, I think that would make him alot less frightened of Spanish speaking people."

Baldwin is not "afraid" of spanish people. One of the groups that sponsored Baldwin's SoCal tour was "You Dont Speak For Me", a group of latino immigrants against illegal immigration.

"George Wallace and Strom Thurmond would be proud of Mr. Baldwin."

Dr. Baldwin's personal secretary is a young man from Nigeria. A black man. Sorry--you're just plain wrong. However, I DO think YOU are a racist. Using ethnic slurs is indicative of that.

If the CP was ideologically able to understand that the racism against Latinos doesn't stop those in search of a better job from trying to get here.

If the CP just focused on ending "free trade," a lot of the labor migration would end. But, no, they have to play the race card to generate support.

Spanish is actually a much easier language to learn than english, Spanish is more logical and doesn't have all US English's exceptions and oddities.

I was particularly impressed that Baldwin raised 30k in less than a week. Hopefully he can repeat this in Utah, at the RevolutionMarch, at the Revolution Freedom Festival, and at Freedom21 =)

"Baldwin will be getting lots of monolingual peckawood votes!"

Proof of my statement in another thread. There are few people more bigoted than the anti-bogotry bigots. Peckawood ... real nice.
