NBC/WSJ poll: Nader 5%, Barr 2%

The latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll on the presidential race, conducted July 18-21, has independent Ralph Nader polling five percent and Libertarian Bob Barr polling two percent. Barack Obama leads John McCain 48% to 35%. Chuck Baldwin and Cynthia McKinney were not included in the poll.

    Obama’s shift away from antiwar is sending his peacenik supporters over to Nader.

    If Barr/Root want votes, they should stake out a more antiwar position than Obama’s. And they should be loud and vocal about denouncing any war with Iran.

    Barr may do so. I doubt Root’s heart is in it, though.
