Yes, the big bad "conspiracy theorists" . . . give me a break. Guardian columnist Dan Hind said yesterday: "Wide-ranging conspiracies do take place, whether we are inclined to believe that they do or not. It might well be consoling to believe that the CIA plots the overthrow of unhelpful foreign regimes. But it is also true. To insist that, say, the CIA had nothing to do with the fall of Guatemalan leader Jacobo Árbenz in 1954, or the overthrow of Chile's Salvador Allende in 1973 might feel terrifically sensible and sane we can't always be seeing the hidden hand of the CIA, there's no call for reductionism. It is also, you know, wrong. What happened on 9/11 is, in the end, a matter of fact whatever our worldview might incline us to consider plausible or possible. The true authorship of the attacks is as difficult to establish as anything else about the world of international terrorism and espionage."

I challenge anyone to just look at the info instead of throwing labels around:

Yeah, the 9/11-was-an-inside-job conspiracy was just briefly mentioned connected to John Judge as a possible cabinet member, and I have an aversion to that sort of talk as well as it damages credibility. But in historical perspective there were MANY JFK conspiracy theorists - many in office - during the 60s and 70s (that had about the same amount of credibility as 9/11 conspiracy theories). So I'm not ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater on that alone. What is missing in this transcript are her comments on Obama (I'm pulling this from memory from watching CSPAN last weekend so bear with me). She essentially said, about 1/2 way through the first 1/2 of the speech, of which this article only has the transcript for the second 1/2 of the speech (she talked for almost an hour): "We are not not-voting for Barak Obama because of his color. We are not-voting for Barak Obama because he's already been bought and sold!" This really resonated with me especially after the FISA vote. Even his supporters have been telling me "he needs the telecoms" for campaign funding. What's been frustrating is that there has been little or no coverage of this part of the speech - even from McKinney's own campaign - and I have really trying to find it, as I want to quote it in my blog. It's amazing how sensitive all of the media, mainstream and internet, has been towards Obama this entire election cycle..something really stinks.

It's a little disconcerting that she overtly uses the phrase "9/11 Truth"

Thanks for catching that rodneyj44. I'll contact the campaign to see if they can give me the whole text.

And thanks too sunshinebatman. I will post a link to the more complete C-SPAN coverage once it goes up.

Yeah, the speech was paired with a new Barr interview form Wednesday for Sunday's "Road to the White House." The program should be available as video and audio on C-SPAN's websites this week.

this is not the complete text of the speech, I watched it on CSPAN yesterday and roughly the entire 1st 1/2 of the speech is missing. The article talks about a link to the full text of the speech which is not there.
