Wouldn’t that be a form of fraud and certainly very un-Green?

How would that be different from folks who have already maxed out on Obama or McCain laundering even more money into the candidate through their friends?

You are right Anti-Corporate. McKinney has raised more than the needed $5000 in California. As to loaning folks money etc, I fear that such a plan could get very sticky very fast. I am not up to date on campaign finance rules, but I am not sure such a plan is permitted. Maybe someone more knowledgeable than me can answer that one.

I’ve already donated to her campaign. Since I am from California it helps less for me to donate than it would if I were from some other state where she has yet to reach the threshold. Didn’t the Natural Law Party hold it’s nominating convention just days before the general election (I don’t recall if it was ’04 or 2000) in order to amass contributions that might enable matching funds?

Of course the nominee was a foregone conclusion.

Opposition parties do not qualify for matching funds. OTOH, all candidates are treated equally before the nomination(s).

I believe she is also seeking the nomination of the Independence Party of South Carolina, but I don’t know when that party will nominate for president.
