Barr delegate Doug Craig upset over Helms press release

Doug Craig — proprietor of Crazy for Liberty and a Barr delegate at the Denver convention — had this to say about the Barr campaign’s recent press release imploring libertarians to “give thanks to God” for the “life and work” of Jesse Helms:

Sometimes being a party man does not override common sense… I understand You should not talk ill of the dead but you should smart enough to know this man was not liked by Libertarians.

IPR Exclusive: Chuck Baldwin makes his case to disgruntled libertarians

In an interview earlier today, Constitution Party presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin made his case to Libertarians unhappy with Bob Barr as their nominee.

“I understand that some libertarians do not share my conviction that life begins at conception and that we need to protect it,” said Baldwin. “I understand that some don’t share our concerns on the moral issues, but I’ll say this to all the Libertarians and independents: If you believe that a secure border is critical to our nation’s survival, then I’m the only candidate for president in 2008 you can vote for.”

Ralph Nader: Obama running for Bush’s third term

In a recent CNN interview with Rick Sanchez, independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader concurred with a Wall Street Journal editorial in saying that Barack Obama is “running for Bush’s third term.” Nader says that Obama’s positions are “congenial to corporate America” and instead of “talking white,” of which Nader has accused him, or “talking black,” Obama should be “talking justice.” He pointed out that Obama is receiving more corporate money for his presidential run than any other candidate in U.S.… Read more ...
