Senator Bob Smith on Chuck Baldwin

June 2nd, 2008 · 5 Comments

Senator Bob Smith, who was briefly considered a contender for the presidential nomination of the Constitution Party, has some nice things to say about Chuck Baldwin.

I am not going to officially endorse anyone but of course I admire Chuck Baldwin. He is a great patriot and an outstanding conservative leader. He is a man of impeccable moral credentials who if elected will preserve, protect and defend our Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic.
Sen. Bob Smith

Sen. Smith has been a critic of George Bush and especially of John McCain and is already considered a frontrunner for the Constitution Party’s 2012 presidential nomination.

If Bob Smith is going to be involved with the Constitution Party (and it seems he is) this is weak. Why won’t he endorse Chuck Baldwin? He should.

    Jose,

I believe he has a job with the state and is thus forbidden from formally endorsing anyone.
