The Wall Street Journal profiles Idaho independent U.S. Senate candidate Rex Rammell, “a Mormon veterinarian” and “conservative independent focused on property rights and public-land issues.” Rammell “entered the race after Lt. Gov. Jim Risch, now the front-runner, ordered game wardens to gun down his elk herd.” Risch, a Republican, “thinks Dr. Rammell won’t get more than 3% of the vote. ‘The race is clearly a personal vendetta,’ Mr. Risch said.”

His sight said nothing of the elk being killed. I did find it on another site, and the fact he was arrested after he sat on the dead elk. I’m a little confused, and there appears to be a piece of the puzzle missing. But my Libertarian heart is raging at game officials killing elk for violating the law.
I don’t care what faction of the LP you are in, if you are as pissed off at that concept as I am, I welcome you to the party! No more of this dividing b.s.
And what’s wrong with a personal vendetta?
This guy has a right to air his grievances in whatever context he sees fit, and if the Republican gets a whipping over it, then all the better.
I’m curious about how much of the Mormon vote he’ll get. Idaho (like the rest of the mountain west) has a fairly high LDS density.
